February 9 Today's word promise

JOHN 15: 5 - 6

5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 

6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.

Points to meditate

If the branches abide in the vine, they will bear fruit, likewise a person who abides in Christ will act like a Christian. There will come forth everything that we expect from Christians - the gifts/fruits of the spirit, Christ like behaviour and endeavors. 

As for people who do not abide in the vine, they do whatever they think is right , it may be meaningful and fruitful and regarded highly in the world's perspective but from Jesus' perspective it is nothing at all. 

If you want accomplishments in life that will last, then abiding in Christ is the key. 

Say aloud

I am the branch and Jesus Christ is the vine. I will remain in Christ and bear much fruit. Apart from Jesus I can do nothing. 

Prayer

Lord, help me to abide in You at all times and bear much fruit. Help me to bring glory to Your name. I give You all the glory, honour and praises. Apart from You I can do nothing.
