New month promise September 2022

ISAIAH 60:1-2 Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. We will arise from the darkness, affliction, and calamity of the old order of things into the light, blessing, and happiness of the new order to come. The glory of the LORD, His beauty and magnificence, will shine upon us and we will shine by reflecting His glory. And yet, despite the darkness, we don't have to wait for that future time to experience the glorious light of the LORD. Already our light has come. Jesus is the brightness of the LORD's glory (Hebrews 1:3) and He came into the world. He is the "true light which gives light to every man" (John 1:9). Those who accept Him already reflect the glory of the LORD. His light shines through us in the midst of the shroud of darkness and the darkness cannot extinguish it (John...

Closing month prayer August 2022

ISAIAH 51:5 My righteousness draws near speedily,      my salvation is on the way,      and my arm will bring justice to the nations. The islands will look to me      and wait in hope for my arm. Message -  Now that thou hast only thy God to trust to, see that thou puttest thy full confidence in him. Dishonor not thy Lord and Master by unworthy doubts and fears; but be strong in faith, giving glory to God. Show the world that thy God is worth ten thousand worlds to thee. Show rich men how rich thou art in thy poverty when the Lord God is thy helper. Show the strong man how strong thou art in thy weakness when underneath thee are the everlasting arms. Now is the time for feats of faith and valiant exploits. Be strong and very courageous, and the Lord thy God shall certainly, as surely as he built the heavens and the earth, glorify himself in thy weakness, and magnify his might in the midst of thy distress. ...

Tuesday fasting August 2

2 CHRONICLES 20 : 22 - 23 As they began to sing and to praise God, the LORD set an ambush for the army from Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir who had come to attack Judah. The enemy was defeated! The Ammonites and the Moabites started to fight the men from Mount Seir. After they killed them, the Ammonites and Moabites turned on themselves and killed each other. King Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah were invaded by a large army of Moabites, Ammonites, and Meunites. Deeply worried, the King led the people in fasting and prayer before the Lord. At the meeting, Jahaziel prophesied that the Lord himself would fight the battle for them. When the Judeans went out to meet the invading army, Jehoshaphat put the Temple singers in front of his forces. They sang, "Give thanks to the Lord! His faithful love will last forever." At the very moment they began to sing and praise the Lord the events of our verses for today came to pass. Praise and worship should have a place of priority in the mi...
