Tuesday fasting August 2

2 CHRONICLES 20 : 22 - 23
As they began to sing and to praise God, the LORD set an ambush for the army from Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir who had come to attack Judah. The enemy was defeated! The Ammonites and the Moabites started to fight the men from Mount Seir. After they killed them, the Ammonites and Moabites turned on themselves and killed each other.

King Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah were invaded by a large army of Moabites, Ammonites, and Meunites. Deeply worried, the King led the people in fasting and prayer before the Lord. At the meeting, Jahaziel prophesied that the Lord himself would fight the battle for them. When the Judeans went out to meet the invading army, Jehoshaphat put the Temple singers in front of his forces. They sang, "Give thanks to the Lord! His faithful love will last forever." At the very moment they began to sing and praise the Lord the events of our verses for today came to pass.

Praise and worship should have a place of priority in the midst of our troubles. Before we do anything else, we should give praise and worship to the Lord. God is pleased with those who turn to Him first.

There is great power in praise and worship. They are not mere formalities.

Psalm 69

34 Let heaven and earth praise him, the seas and all that move in them,

35 for God will save Zion and rebuild the cities of Judah. Then people will settle there and possess it;

36 the children of his servants will inherit it, and those who love his name will dwell there.

Amen. Declare (Say aloud) My God shall supply all my needs. I shall have blessings in my brokenness. Lord, You shall turn the hurts and disappointments in my life into abundant blessings with satisfaction and basketful of leftover blessings too. Alleluia! Amen. Matthew 14 : 19, 20 19  And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.  20  They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. This day - 29 October 2021 - when in dilemma whether to invest more

The Lord your God bless you in all the work of your hands. Deuteronomy 14:29 Deuteronomy 14 : 27 - 29 27  And do not neglect the Levites living in your towns, for they have no allotment or inheritance of their own. 28 At the end of every three years, bring all the tithes of that year’s produce and store it in your towns,   29  so that the Levites (who have no allotment or inheritance of their own) and the foreigners, the fatherless and the widows who live in your towns may come and eat and be satisfied, and so that the  Lord  your God may bless you in all the work of your hands. Proverbs 10:22  The blessing of the  Lord  brings wealth,  without painful toil for it.
